Los Ronisch is a band founded in 1987, Cochabamba, Bolivia by Paulino Rodriguez and his sons. The name of the band became from the popular german keyboard brand “Ronisch”.
Since the beginning they were fans of the Eurobeat, pop and rock music, but it was in 1989 when they sign on the bolivian record label Discos Condor looking for more original vibes. With their first album named “Un sueño hecho realidad” (A dream maded reality) they closed the 80s decade as one of the most top hit popular band in Bolivia.
In 1990 they release a second LP called “Princesa” (Princess). Over 1991 a third album “Desde el Corazon de Bolivia” (From Bolivia´s heart) is realeased with a particular characteristic: 50% of disco music and 50% of cumbia roots. In 1992 and 1993 they release 2 more records, but their popularity and talent to make that amazing songs was fading.
Over 1999 they put out “Regresa”. This is an album were Los Ronisch became again the most representative exponents of the Andine music mixing the genres: Technocumbia and Saya (afro-bolivian rhythm).
A questionless hit on this album is “Amigos traigan cerveza” (Bring beer friends). This song, as their whole career, was questioned because their clear addiction to alcohol, specifically to beer. On this song they sing “Friends bring beer to me, cause I want to forget this pain”. A couple items about this song/video are: leopard vests, psychedelic solo keyboards, close up recordings of a girl ass dancing almost naked, and Cochabamba city film shots.
